Angie Bush

As one of the most sought after genetic genealogists and internationally recognized educators in the field, Angie Bush combines years of experience in biotech with a passion for genealogical research and a unique ability to solve seemingly impossible cases. Her primary research interests include cases of unknown parentage, such as recent adoption and donor conception; triangulating answers to tough genealogical questions using traditional records and genetic evidence and non-traditional families.

 

Currently Region 1 Director for the National Genealogical Society and chair of its Genetic Genealogy Committee, Angie is an active player on the national stage, presenting frequently on new trends in genetic genealogy. Angie is also part of the ProGenealogists team at Ancestry (https://www.progenealogists.com). Behind Angie’s passion for research lies the belief that genealogy is an opportunity to connect with people from around the world and to enable them to connect with each other. Angie is a Utah native and lives in Sandy, Utah with her husband and two descendants.

 

                

Cyndi Ingle

Cyndi Ingle is the creator and innovator behind the award-winning and globally recognized CyndisList.com (https://www.cyndislist.com), a free categorized list of more than 337,000 links for genealogical research. In its 24 years online, Cyndi’s List has consistently remained in the top tiers for genealogical research tools online. Cyndi, a genealogist for more than 40 years, has an expertise in using technology for genealogy. Additionally, her many active years in genealogy have also resulted in specialties for research in the United States and bringing together traditional methodology with organization, computers, software, and the Internet. 

 

Cyndi is the recipient of several awards and honors, she has served in several capacities for genealogical organizations, she is an internationally-known guest lecturer, and she has authored numerous articles and three books. Cyndi, her mother, and three Boston Terriers live in Edgewood, Washington.

Chris Paton

Originally from Northern Ireland, but with both Scottish and Irish roots, Chris holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Genealogical Studies from the University of Strathclyde, and today works as a professional genealogist, running the Scotland's Greatest Story research service (www.scotlandsgreateststory.co.uk). Chris also teaches for Pharos Teaching and Tutoring Ltd. In addition, he is a published author of several book titles, including Tracing Your Irish Family History on the Internet, Down and Out in Scotland and many more.  Chris is a regular contributor to several genealogy and history magazines, such as Who do You Think You Are, Family Tree, Discover Your Ancestors and Scotland Magazine.

 

Chris is a forum member of the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland and was a Director of the Scottish Archive Network Ltd. Trust (SCAN). He is also a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. Chris lives in Ayrshire, Scotland with his wife and two sons.

Janice Nickerson

Janice's expertise includes Upper Canadian history, criminal justice records, turning bare bones genealogies into full-fledged family histories and finding fun ways to share family history finds. Janice helps others trace their Ontario roots through her Upper Canada Genealogy business (www.UpperCanadaGenealogy.com). In addition to her private client work, she assists the Public Guardian and Trustee in locating missing heirs, has provided genealogical research for two genealogical TV programs, The CBC's Who Do You Think You Are? (aired Fall/Winter 2007/8) and the Aboriginal Peoples' Television Network's All Our Relations (aired Autumn 2013).

 

Janice is the author of Crime and Punishment in Upper Canada: A Researcher’s Guide (2010), and York’s Sacrifice: Militia Casualties of the War of 1812 (2012), both published by the joint imprint of the Ontario Genealogical Society (now Ontario Ancestors) and Dundurn Press. Janice makes her home in Toronto.
